Wow, the best thing about this movie was the 2:36 trailer.I mean I really wasn't expecting much. It took me four tries to sit through the entire thing. Another Peter Jackson interpretation of a book, I will not complain. I may be going out on a limb. It is with my utmost certainty that you have never seen a murder mystery quite like this. To say the phantasmagoria in some scene transitions is mind blowing may very well understate what you are watching. When watching I caution viewers to maintain an open mind. The Lovely Bones brings new meaning to "things are not as they appear".

Ok I must say for the record I had no intention of watching this, but I am glad to say that I did. The first 8-10 minutes are a little cheesy, and that is the only flaw I could find. Clooney gives a powerful performance and makes the viewer feel enamored with his character. This film has an extremely genuine feel, not the hollywood fluff that they attempt to force feed us.

This is a fun movie great entertainment however, it does have the feel of a super pocahontas. White man sent to conquer falls in love with the "indigenous" girl and gets most of her family killed.
